The girls took their first trip on the Metro. In the picture below, the girls are waiting patiently to get on the train at the Takoma Station (coming back, they had to wait 17 minutes at Metro Center! They somehow managed to not implode!)
In the first picture, Clare holds Maddie as she takes in everything on the train. Maddie seemed to learn a little bit about relativity, as she couldn't quite grasp how things were going by so fast...
